Anna Viebrock
Hello everyone, today I come to talk about Anna Viebrock, who is a great costume designer and set designer within the theater and the opera. For me her work is of great reference and that I admire a lot.
Viebrock was born on August 3, 1951, in the city of Colonia, Germany. She is the daughter of an Austrian-Hungarian mother and a German father, her first studies were in art and philosophy in her hometown, then between 71 and 77 she studied Scenography at the Düsseldorf Art Academy with Karl Kne, had their daughter in 1976.
Mainly her work goes hand in hand with the director Christoph Marthaler since the 90s, working in numerous theaters and operas such as the Basel Theater, the Volksbühne in Berlin, the Schauspielhaus in Hamburg, the Opera of Frankfurt the Paris Opera, the Teatro Real Madrid, the Salzburg and Bayreuth Festival, the Vienna Festival, the Festival d'Avignon,
and the Schauspielhaus Zürich. Which led her to be awarded 17 times with the "Set Designer of the Year" and "Costume Designer of the Year" awards. What I like the most about her work are the color palettes that she works, which are mainly cold, and the use of the stage that inserts us into the work with his composition.
